im amazed that there are a few people who stop by and read this blog every now and then, even though its been fairly abandoned for a yearish (i know that “yearish” isn’t really a word, but i felt like saying it, ok?)

its been a while, but…

here i am.

i am here to rant a little on some things that have been on my mind lately.

after a very long and stressful weekend…

normally i don’t write about work, but i just opened my email inbox and had received a message that pulled on my heart a little bit. hopefully the sender won’t mind that i am quoting some of it here, but i feel the need to share it.

The Season is Coming…

Well, I’m sitting here debating on what to write about. I dont want to bore you all too bad, but the blog needs some kind of action. Its sad that its not getting its love. I really dont know what to write about. All I can think of at the moment is that the season is approaching. Rapidly. Soon, it will be Thanksgiving. I have alot to be thankful for this year, but we wont get into that right now because its not thanksgiving yet so why start thanking now? lol. But with thanksgiving approaching, you know what that means for those of us in the retail business right? Hell. lol. Black Friday and Slightly Gray Saturday are the 2 worst days ever aside from back to school time. Unless im missing something. From here on out, its going to be longer hours at work. I jumped from a mild 15 hrs a week to a whopping 27! Which is good for working only weekends. But i’ll sure be tired. This is the most stressful time of year working in retail. And this sucks because it really puts a damper on my holiday spirit. And this time of year is my favorite holiday. I love giving gifts. I love the look on people’s faces when they open something. Its pretty much the most amazing feeling in the world, besides love of course.

Ok, enough of that. Lets get on to randomness. Who here has bought Guitar Hero 3? Well i’ll be the first to raise my hand. I bought my Target exclusive bundle pack the day after it came out. Id have to say its one of the most addicting games ive ever played. Steve and i beat the game on Easy in about 4 hours…thats right we played 4 hours straight. Now on my own ive gotten about halfway through on the medium setting. Not to shabby for never playing before. lol. So if you havent gotten it I suggest you go buy it. Its a good time.

More randomness…butterscotch pudding is amazing. I made some at midnight last night and it’s gone already.

I’m out of randoms for the moment so I guess that means this entry is coming to an end. Sorry if I have bored you all but I figured that the site needed some lovin since Mitch isnt feelin up to writing. Lets all send hugs out to the boy with soul. So here’s a big old feel better hug to my best friend and we all hope you write soon. We miss ya.

in case you all haven’t noticed, im not around here much presently. as some of you know, its been a rough couple of weeks surrounding thisboy.

im not shutting the site down, but won’t be as visible for a little while. i am opening an invitation to diddy or any one of these readers to post while i am inactive. post about anything you wish. if you aren’t diddy and want to write here, just shoot me a comment with an email address and wordpress username, so i can authorize you as an author.

i woke up and wrote for around 15mins and when i posted it was a blank page. i am almost ready to get showered and such, so i am not going to take the time and repost the whole thing yet, so consider this filler until i am ready…it kind of sums up how i feel…

The Runaround: Taylor Hicks 10.13.07

Well, its deffinately been awhile since ive posted for you nice folks. Glad this is Mitchell’s blog and not mine. I’d never be able to keep up. I dont have enough to write about. Anyway, this is going to be my attempt at the review of the day for 10.13.07.

We left early in the morning and headed out to the King of Prussia mall. This was deffinately Matthew’s highlight of the day. I’d have to say that was pretty much the biggest mall ive ever step foot in. I absolutely loved it. Somehow I even gave in and bought a shirt from Abercrombie and Fitch. Guess Mitch and Matt are rubbin off on me. haha.

Anyway, we left the mall around 3:30 or so and headed to Millersville University. We arrived close to 5:00 I believe and found our place in line. Mitchell went inside for his meet and greet and Steve, Matt and I found ourselves outside in line fending for ourselves. haha. We talked to many other Taylor fans. Some remembered Mitch posting. I thought that was neat. Matt was interviewed on the news. Too bad we couldnt watch it. The doors opened a little early and we found our seats next to mitch. Front row off to the side of the stage.

We waited quite awhile for the show to start. Steve actually fell asleep for a short period of time. I dont know how he does it. Sometime around 8:00 or so someone from the school came on stage and started talking. They had some sort of singing contest through the school and the two winners of each category sang for us. Shortly after Taylor Came on stage.

Now Taylor’s style isnt something I am used to. Its much different from the other concerts ive been to. And I had never listened to Taylor before this day. I did enjoy the show. I found my foot tapping to the music every now and then. Taylor deffinately knows how to please the crowd. My favorite song was deffinately The Runaround. Im not sure why but that song rocks my world. Being that I never previously listened to Taylor before I cant give you an in depth review of the songs because I dont know what they were called. But I will admit I liked the show and I will probably download some of Taylor’s stuff onto my ipod. Now, dont get excited though. Im still a strong believer of Daughtry. I know mitch, not what you wanted to hear right? Well its the truth. Taylor is great but im a Daughtry fan at heart.

After the show, steve somehow got Mitch a set list. So he’s now mitchell’s favorite person in the world. Well, besides matthew and myself i would hope. haha. It was a great time. Just as i knew it would be. I was with my best friends and thats all I need to have a great time. Im pretty sure Taylor made 2 new fans that night. And I think if anyone gets the chance they should deffinately see him live.

Now that ive rambled and probably not made much sense, im off to bed. Im tired. And besides Transformers comes out in the morning. Everyone go buy it. You wont regret it. Hopefully Mitch will let me post more often.

well, the tour is finally over (for me at least) and its taken me a few days to come to grips with it and to collect my thoughts. i thought about leaving the writing to diddy on this one, but in the end i decided that i would chime in with my two cents.
